Leading Ladies

This week I'm doing a series of posts on my website entitled Leading Ladies.

The leading lady series is about the beta stars of the three books I’ve chosen. Heat In the Air, Burning for An Assassin, and The Boss's Daughter.

Veda is half-black woman with fears and doubts about her weight and her self-worth.
Fallina has similar issues in addition to being the only daughter of a drunk.

These leading ladies remind me a little of the ladies of old. They have just enough attitude to spark a fire in the women attracted to them. For instance, Katherine Hepburn and Audrey Hepburn, Natalie Wood and Grace Kelly. Oh, I loved Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief. And Dorothy Dandridge. They were ladies with style, grace and spunk on screen not to mention sexy as hell.

No. That’s not a giveaway to my age, just a curious mind. I wanted to know what was so great about those ladies, so I watched some movies.

Leading Ladies

Fallina Mira is today’s leading lady. She’s smart, pretty and a submissive. Fallina’s mother’s alcoholism has increasingly become a problem making Fallina certain she’ll be taking the reins of the business, Red Silk even though she knows nothing about running a company.

Fallina has also been trained as a submissive and is looking for just the right woman to dominate her, but she’s keeping that undercover. She’s certain her mother wouldn’t be pleased with that. Fallina’s interest in Kensal, a very dominant bat shifter takes down a road she doesn’t expect to go.

Through it all she’s pretty much a lady.
Fallina isn’t a physical woman meaning she’s not much for fighting. She’d rather let her woman do the fighting and protecting. However, she’s not opposed to standing up for herself when the need arises. With Kensal there was more than one occasion.

What makes Fallina a leading lady is her courage to attempt to stand up for herself and ask for what she wants.
