Contest

Hello friends!
Happy fall! To celebrate the new season and thank my loyal readers, I'm hosting a contest to show my appreciation.
The contest will go through November 30, 2015. Any reader who posts a review of any of my books will be entered. The prize will be a $100 gift card to one of my favorite places- Macy's. Just in time for the holidays.
To enter, send me an email at Mia[at]MiaLondon[dot]com with the title "I reviewed--enter me in the contest!" Remember to copy and paste your review in your email.
The winner will be announced in the December newsletter.
Good luck and thanks for being loyal to romance!

Have a terrific week!
Mia

Love is in the air!

Hello dear readers!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I want to share a few thoughts with you about this day of love. I know some of you are over it. You might believe it's a Hallmark holiday, too commercial, or whatever.
I think to a certain extent that may be true, but if we look at the upside, Valentine's provides a wonderful opportunity for people who aren't overly romantic or affectionate to "step up to the plate".
Married folks, how often do you date your spouse? It’s been said that we need to continue to date our spouses, even after we're married. Given that the majority of Americans fall short on that front, Valentine's (as well as birthdays and anniversaries) gives couples a great excuse to date. Pure and simple.
Please know that this doesn't always have to mean going out. If you can get a sitter and restaurant reservations--perfect. If not, cook something at home for your mate. Something you know they will enjoy. Men, you can do this, too. Pull out a table cloth and cloth napkins. Light a candle on the table. Hell, light a few candles around the house.
Next topic, the present. I am a huge fan of flowers and dark chocolate-covered strawberries. Some women are partial to jewelry. The idea is to think about something your spouse would enjoy, not what *you* want them to have.
And no, you don't have to spend a lot of money. How great would it be if you were eating a dinner your honey just cooked, and in the background played music he/she selected that you would enjoy. A mixed tape, just for you. Do you remember the song you danced to at your wedding? Maybe a song you both enjoyed while you were dating?
Not married, but been together a long time? The rules still apply. :) Have fun. Enjoy each other. Listen to a story about when your partner was young. Ask questions on random subjects you have no idea what the answer is. Get creative. Romance takes many forms, does it not?

Have a fabulous weekend!
All my best!
Mia

Quick note

Hello friends!
I just wanted to post a quick note and apologize for being M.I.A.
I was invited to join 4 other authors in a series, so the 2 WIPs were tabled until "Beyond Lace" was complete. The series, Hard Men of the Rockies, goes on pre-sale in July. I'll keep you posted.
However, speaking of "Beyond Lace", I want your opinion. I'm sending out my newsletter in 10 days. In it, I will include an excerpt of the book. Only those subscribed to my newsletter will see the excerpt and give their editorial opinion.
Visit: http://www.mialondon.com/Contact.html to sign up for my newsletter.
I can't wait to get your feedback.

Happy reading and thanks for being loyal to romance!
Hugs!
Mia
