I talked with @Poi Dog Philly about their upcoming Ancient Roman cooking class at the Free Library. I met Kiki at the Eating Words conference last month, and when she told me about all the cool shit she’s doing bringing these unusual food stories to life, I knew I wanted to write about it. As lifelong Philly residents, my grandparents would’ve been tickled to see my name in the paper they read every day. They used to keep all my Barnard Bulletin articles in a wicker basket in their living room. So this story is dedicated to them.
