My screenplay is progressing well. I have completed 13 scenes/32 pages, which is about 25% of the total. The process gets easier as I go along, partially because once the set-up is under way, it is easier to focus on characterisation and sub-plots. Dreamwork pays off dividends, ie as I sleep my brain churns over problems and plot holes and brings solutions the next morning by and large, or when I am driving. It has been a lot of fun and easier than I thought. The hard part is to begin and knowing when to begin. I write best when I am in the zone; I don't agree with those who just put in the hours and expect it just to emerge. For me, you get the fruit when they are ripe. Anyway, the movie will likely be a buddy movie; I just have to persuade my scriptwriting honcho that is the tack to take, when it comes to the script review meeting.
Anyone else writing at the moment? I'd love to hear how it is going.
