Michael Tolkin I saw my friend Jon Robin Baitz's play "Vicunya), about a Trump like candidate who orders a wildly expensive suit to wear at a final debate. No spoiler alert from me but what was cautionary before the election became prophetic and explanatory and chilling after the election. Robbie has read NK3 and has good things to say about it - I'm glad for that - and while my novel has nothing to do with elections, it is about memory and society and the essence of the connection between memory, humanity, and the ability to make metaphor. And I think the the election supports something in the book that I was reaching to express, makes it clearer.
