I’ve avoided writing anything about my short story
Henry & Isa until now. I published it quietly and with a certain amount of trepidation because it’s a very personal story, based entirely on a dream I had which changed me fundamentally. I’m blessed to be able to recall my dreams for some time after waking. This is also the reason I need two cups of strong coffee before I’m fully in the waking world.
Henry & Isa is now my most successful title, getting as many as 600+ downloads on a free day without any advertising. At the time of writing this blog it's looking enticingly close to achieving a coveted bestseller badge in two categories on Amazon. So I can only guess that it speaks to readers as much as it did to me that night, the next morning, and in the flurry of keyboard strokes that followed to get the ideas down before they were lost.
I won't explain the significance, symbolism and meaning of the story unless someone really wants to know. Every reader has a different interpretation of this story, from the literal to the underlying psychology, and that's most gratifying to me as the author.
