Oh, Tristan! How I love to hate you!
The thing about Tristan is that he isn't really a "bad" guy. Architects aren't bad folks. Tristan's ambitions get the better of him, and he comes off as cold and calculating because he's a big thinker and designer. Everything is run through a filter of logic and a slightly unhealthy amount of self-confidence.
I love the little illustrated guy below. I think it really envelopes him. "And now... now we wait." I can completely picture him saying that several times within the novels.

Are you an architect? Let me know!
Quick writing update: I am in progress on two separate stories. It depends on the day which one I decide to work on! One is a novella about one of my favorite characters in "After I Break", Li. She leaves us with a lot of unanswered questions about her past, and this novella is going to give you answers. The other project is an urban fantasy of sorts about a girl who loses her memory after a car accident on graduation night. Neither project is anywhere near completion.
So...now we wait. ;)
