Hi MikeSorry you feel that way. It's hard enough to win readers and bad news when you lose one. But thanks for giving me a heads up and also the reason why you're turning your back on Vin.
But before you go, let me say a couple of things. Firstly, my books are political thrillers. They are political, and hopefully they thrill. As you've read all my books, you would know that I put the politics of every country Vin visits under the microscope. This time, I put America's under a lens. Why is it that I can have a look at these other countries, and having a gentle dig at them, and you're fine with that, but woe betide me looking at the U.S.? A few of your countrymen have taken exception to KINGDOM COME's politics, and have resented me for doing so. Why are you and they so thin skinned? Are you embarrassed by what's happing in the United States at the moment? (Rhetorical question, that - of course you are. How could you not be?).
Clearly also, Mike, you are annoyed by this book because it doesn't share your politics. This is a problem with America (and many other countries at the moment). Everyone is so partisan - you're only able to cope with a point of view if you share it. Maybe you should look at the other side and see if there's any validity in what is being said, rather than rejecting it out of hand because the person who voiced it is not on your team.

dear mr rollins it's obvious to me WHAT YOUR POLITICAL PERSUASION IS.
LETS SEE :
A former journalist and advertising guy
surprise surprise
no wonder you mentioned MR. Chris Matthews in your last book and no wonder you're a liberal.
i can't remember in your prior novels if you put politics in them
i'm more than proud of the country i put my life on the line for
but embarrassed far from it .
i'm happy with the way things are now
maybe you should take a look at your own point of view AND LET ME KNOW THE NEXT TIME YOU WRITE A NOVEL AND MENTION THE POLITICS OF YOUR OWN COUNTRY AND THE PRIME MINISTER OR GOVERNOR GENERAL
PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES SHOULD'NT THROW STONES
AND THE LIBERAL PARTY IS THE PARTY OF INTOLERANCE maybe if you lived here you might see what i'm talking about
good luck with the rest of your carrier.

Hey Mike, you're clearly a little hot under the collar over this. Apologies if I've added to your stress levels. Actually, I think my politics are centrist. Also, FYI, the Liberal Party in Australia is conservative. Personally, I don't really feel I'm represented by any political party here because both the left and the right are going after ever more extremist votes. Having read my books, you would know that I am pretty cynical in nature, but it's easy to be that way when you listen to politicians of pretty much ANY persuasion. And, while I am loath to give advice (I'm the last person who should throw stones, generally speaking), sounds like maybe you could use a little healthy cynicism when you're fed #MAGA nonsense.

i read your books because they were well written with a mixture of humour drama and pathos this last work was an insight into your liberal views i don't read novels for agendas i have enough of it in the news
you've lost a fan and an avid reader
