The fourth episode opens with a short-lived duel to the death as Hua Xiong, Dong Zhuo’s vanguard commander, easily dispatches the first of the 18 Lords’ warriors sent his way. One by one, the Lords’ best commanders are sent out to fight Hua Xiong after being treated to a ceremonial cup of hot wine (it’s how they served it in China back in the day).
