2011 isn't over yet, but I'm already contemplating my reading goals for 2012. I should easily hit my 2011 reading goal of 110 books, but I want to do something a little different for next year. This past weekend I finally made some serious progress in cataloging my book collection and I'm amazed at how many books that I own but have not had the opportunity to read yet. Included in that unread group are quite a few classics that I should have read a long time ago.

So my reading goals for 2012 will be smaller than this year: 100 books. BUT - my goal is for all 100 books to be from my existing collection, and at least 25 of them to be classics. Any books that I read that I purchase during the next year won't be included towards that 100, which means the end of year total will hopefully exceed 100, but we'll see.
