Forever Love
I have a new Forever Love post live now...
In this book I was able to mix fact with fiction to create a story that I wanted to tell. Madison was a slave and a demon in their last incarnation. She was also a man. I decided this would be an interesting play on things rather than the same old same sex from incarnation to incarnation.
Some of the scenes are of the present with a thought of an element from the past.
Leitha laughed and in that cackle she heard the laugh of a man, a little drunk, smelled the whiskey in the air and saw his dirty hands as he reached for her.
No one touched his Abbey especially not a drunk bastard who thought he had the right to mark her pretty pale skin. He should slit the bastard’s throat with the very knife in his pocket and watch his blood run down his fingers.
“What’s going on?” The office door opened and Azar-Rai was framed in it, bringing her fully back to the present and a hint of lavender in the air. Azar-Rai’s lovely face was pulled into a scowl.
Her brown eyes were odd. Copper flares lit the irises and lashes seemed more like soot and even longer than before.
Leitha got to her feet and moved toward her. “I wasn’t finished talking to you.” She reached for Azar-Rai and Azar-Rai blocked the grab and drove her fist into the woman’s jaw.
