I am friendly with my local library.

I visit my local library at least two times each week, four hours each time. I read my favorite authors, enjoy a laugh or two as I read, and, I usually come away with fresh insights that quickly clear my writer’s block. Sometimes, I make friends with like-minded people. When I am at the library, I’m in my zone. Why am I telling you this? I am suggesting you make your local public library, your friend.

With spring just around the corner, it is  my desire to do something different for me, so  I opted for a low hair cut … the wash and go kind. I needed to break the ice … winter has been going on much too long. May I suggest you do something for you that stands out, this spring … something other people will notice?  You will enjoy the conversations that emanate from such a move.

My new book: WATT TOWN ROAD: In Retrospect (An adult book for children) is available at Amazon at a nominal price.  It is a good read.

“I settled my rump into the hollow of my chair and pondered a best-selling book. I snatched blank pages that looped out of my rickety printer and cursed the sentences that did not magically appear. I crushed several pages in uneven balls, flung them across the room and, watched as they landed into my waste paper basket. I repeated the ritual, several times, daring sentences to magically appear on blank paper. My obsession to fill those blank pages with words, sentences and paragraphs forced me to see psychedelic images floating by. Ideas zoomed in and out. My thoughts, though fleeting, dared me to use them before they vanished into nothingness. I must write or I will forget. ”
