Hey bookworms! Happy Wednesday to all of you lovely people. Today I’ve finally gotten down to write a review for the book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading, so let’s begin:

SYNOPSIS (My Version)

Clary Fray is living the ‘normal’ theme life with her single mother Jocelyn and her best friend Simon. She’s even ready to go to the art college that she has dreamed of forever! But then this one night changes her life completely. Now, her mother might be in the hands of the darkest villain of the Shadow world, and she might just not know anything about her life at all. And to add, she just might be one of the Shadowhunters, a supreme race of beings that are sworn to protect the world from demons. Also, quick add, Clary might have also found the love of her life in the best shadowhunter in the institute, Jace Wayland. With her world toppled upside down, will Clary be able to save her mother in time? Will she be able to adjust to life as a Nephilim, and survive harsh training, strict rules and a dark past?

MY REVIEW

Aah, I don’t have words to describe what this book did to me. Or maybe I do. This series got me hooked onto it so badly that I hunted the TV series out and started watching it! I love the alternative Shadow world that Cassandra Clare has created and the larger than life characters that she has graced her novels with. Another thing I love about this book series is how strong the female protagonist has been projected. Clarissa is strong, courageous, compassionate and impulsive. Oh and, i’ve spent a major portion of time trying to get over how crazily cute Jace and Clary are, it burns my heart to read their  love. Do pick it up if you want a crazy, action packed and thrilling adventure on your mind.
