Weekly Word Count: 7/1/20

Word Count: 6003

What story I’m currently working on:

I ended up hitting 50k on Rehoboth Pact #3 and finishing the book! With my massage job opening back up again and a fair amount of editing work on my plate, I’m super busy on the editing front and haven’t even begun to think of what I’m going to work on next. That’s something to mull over for sure. I’m guessing my word counts will be fairly low for the next few weeks, but I’m hoping to be able to dive into something soon.

What I’m editing/marketing:

I’ve been doing a little bit of line editing on Rehoboth Pact #2, and then I’ve already started getting some responses and feedback in for Rehoboth Pact #3, so I’ll probably be editing them in tandem for the month. I’m also pretty loaded with my work-editing jobs. Regardless, I’m super, super excited Tempting Ballad comes out in a FEW DAYS, and I’m super excited after all the work I put into that book. Renn and Leo’s story is scorching, and I adored writing the pair.

Line of the week:

Fuck, and she missed Chelsea, so damn much.

Her apartment felt emptier than it normally did, so many spaces that Chelsea had just filled up whenever she came over, which had been all the time. In a short month, she’d gotten so used to having Chelsea around all the time, whether she was coming over to visit, they were going out together, or simply texting each other throughout the day. A dozen and one times she’d considered just messaging her and calling a truce, that she didn’t mean any of it.

This loneliness was consuming, aching, and devastating.

This loneliness felt a lot like grief.
