A Traveler in Search (A Poem)

He searched it everywhere,
But the place where it belonged,

He was certain to find it one day,
So the journey began.
He left the city, that street,
And chased the wind.

Now is a new place, a new color of sky,
He flew further, then got tired.
He felt happiness, yet there was a long way to go.
Another dream,
Another pleasure,
Another stop, before settling.
And so he flew again,
And again,
To a long and weary place.
He finally saw the same as he saw from away.

A man standing.
Facing his back.
This man had what the now tired man ever wanted.
So he said,
“why is there darkness here, why are you facing your back, let me tell you the good in me and I will ask for what you have”
Then entered the light,
And oh!, There was no one standing,
But a mirror,
And the very image.

The very image smiled and turned,
“why did you spend your life to find me when I was right there”.
Hearing this, the man felt defeated.
He thought, “was it a mere passion or a happy illusion to search for what I had?”
Seeing this, the very image said,
“why are you fighting with yourself now, when you have me,
Everyone searches for me but no one gets it,
I am the peace in your struggles,
I am the answer to your troubles,
I am within you, yet you search for me everywhere.

Stop searching for me, my friend,
Just know where am I, in you?”
