I have been writing this book, really, since 2015 when I started dating. I was so stressed out by my first dating experience that the only way I could make sense of my feelings and reactions was to run home and write.

This led to blogging, as I learned so much about myself through writing. I set goals, tracked progress, admitted failure, learned, and laughed at myself. Blogging was fun and interactive, and several of my readers encouraged me to write a book.

... A book?!

Writing was my secret dream, since I was a child. I still have my first limericks from 3rd grade, and remember feeling scared about my desire to write. Libraries were always so daunting: how did people find all those words? How were they all so clever?

It has been about two years of writing and editing this book that seemed like it was never going to gel. Everything seemed impossible: a Table of contents? Cover? Back cover? Bio? Introduction? How did people do this well?

By the grace of the universe, somehow it all came together. And I feel so excited.
