Daze

My head in a daze
As I wake up into
A world I fail to notice
Even as it swirls in rage
Beyond this non-belief
Falling apart against
My legs trapped in a race
With myself and no one
While seconds tick down
And dance for attention
Obliterating thoughts to
Leave nothing more for
My head to ponder beyond
A fruitless daze
