There’s no denying I love quotes. Quotes about Christmas? They’re some of my favorites.

So many people have different perspectives about Christmas and, yes, I skip over some of them. But, for the most part, the quotes I read inspire me. Encourage me. Uplift my heart. Guide me through the season with the right attitude – one of gratitude, hope, and most importantly, faith.

Christmas isn’t “the most wonderful time of the year,” despite the song lyrics telling us otherwise. Life is still hard during December. We still face disappointments. Loss. Heartbreak. Grief. No amount of holiday lights and tinsel and fa la la la la will ever change the harsher realities of life.

But if nothing else, Christmas is about hope. God stepped into our world and offered us more — the gift of Emmanuel, God with us.

No matter what circumstances you find yourself facing right now, I pray you are able to grasp the hope offered each one of us at Christmas.
