Which Author's Collected Works Would You want To Be Marooned with on a deserted Island?

As the literary community at large regularly disses Romance as a genre, I often find myself annoyed at real and imagined slights to my chosen profession. I compose little rebuttals which no one ever hears, because really, the truth is that, anyone who judges what someone else reads is — well — a judgy-judger who doesn’t deserve the dignity of a response.

However, during a fuming session, I thought to myself, “I would rather be marooned on a desert island with the collected works of Sherrilyn Kenyon, than say the works of Kahil Gibran.” (Not to be a judgy-judger, there’s nothing wrong with liking literary fiction better, but that’s a matter of taste. It doesn’t make you superior to anyone else)

So that leads me to the title of this post. You’re marooned on a deserted island — which authors’s collected works do you want with you?

Let me know who (and why if you’re in the mood) Authors of literary fiction are ok, too.:-)
