“How’d you sleep?”
I bolted up in bed, unsure where I was, and found Arrow standing in the doorway of what I quickly realized was his bedroom.
I covered myself to the neck with his fluffy down comforter and squinted in the morning light. “Holy crap. I slept like the dead.”
Without the usual noise of the dorm, where people yelled and slammed doors at all hours of the night, I'd fallen into a kind of sleep I hadn’t known in… I didn’t know how long. Of course, it helped that I’d just had my brains fucked out, too.
Arrow gave me his usual shy smile and took a couple steps into the room.
I liked that. It was as if he wanted to give me a little space. Not completely descend on me. But it was, after all, his bedroom.
Where the hell had he slept?
I loved that he was a secret perv. All preppy and proper on the outside, with his expensive shoes and monogrammed everything, standing before his classes spouting dry financial theory.
But behind closed doors, the man was a freak and I had a feeling we’d barely even scratched the surface. First, there was his inclination to ‘watch,’ and then his affinity for butt play.
I just couldn’t.
And that hungry, wanting ache between my legs, which had erupted into the most perfect orgasm of my life, just the night before?
Yup. It was back. I was all tingly and gooey down there and dammit, I had classes to get to.
“Sorry to have kicked you out of your bed. Where did you sleep?” I asked, covering my yawn.
What was the protocol here? I needed to get my ass out of bed and get dressed, but right in front of Arrow? Granted, he’d seen me… in all my glory, but in the light of day, did I just walk around naked in front of him? Was that cool?
“I slept in the guest room where you slept the other night. In fact, the pillow still smelled like your hair.”
Holy crap. He’d noticed what my hair smelled like.
Just then, Silas burst into the doorway. “Morning, Roxy. Hey, guys I’m heading to campus. Anyone need a ride?”
Like this was the most normal thing ever.
Silas adjusted the oversized black hipster glasses that always seemed to slip down his nose, and looked between Arrow and me for an answer.
I raised my hand, as if I were in class.
Idiot.
“I’ll take a ride, thank you. Just give me a couple minutes to get dressed,” I said, looking directly at Arrow.
Silas disappeared, and Arrow backed out of the room. “See you downstairs,” he said, with a nod of his head, pulling the door closed.
Good grief.
I’d just messed around with my finance professor and academic advisor. And it had been hot as shit.
Then, I’d spent the night, and their third roommate, another professor, offered me a ride to school as if my waking up naked in his home was totally normal.
My life had gone from bizarre to fucking out of control whacked.
I had nowhere to live, aside from crashing in Birdie and Jessa’s dorm room, where I was really not even supposed to be, I had no car or phone, and I wasn’t properly enrolled in my classes. I might end up doing a semester’s-worth of class work, and if I were still in ‘audit’ status at the end of the term, I’d have earned no credit, and made no progress toward my degree.
Let’s see. Had I left anything out of my sad sack life?
Wait. How could I forget? My father was likely a criminal, and I hadn’t heard a word from my mother and little sister since our house had been taken.
Even the campus mean girl was after my ass.
Winning.
