CatBookMom Thank you for this post. The 7 horses who died in the week before the Kentucky Derby just about broke my heart, and yet, they got only a few lines in the news. Something is truly wrong with how these racehorses are bred and trained to have so many die in such a short time. I've put "Horse" on my TBR, but the LA library has about 500 people ahead of me....

Susan Albert I've heard from so many who feel the same way. Of course, the Derby would have to downplay this, and the stables don't want to see it in the news, either. Hope you're able to get the book before too long.
