KNIGHT'S SEDUCTION now live!
It's been a while since I've written a blog post. My life has been incredibly busy since my last post. Between my personal life, my author life, and my day job, I've been running in circles trying not to lose my sanity.
But my writing, my interactions with readers, and my interactions with fellow authors - these help to keep me sane. These are the reason I keep going because I find joy in these things.
That's why I was so excited to not only release Knight's Seduction but to see its success during launch week. This was the best launch week since I started this journey, and I've gotten amazing feedback from readers on the book and the series. That just makes my heart so happy!
It's bittersweet to think about the fact that Knight's Seduction: Contemporary Romantic Suspense is the next to last book in the Knights of KSI series. That means there's one book left before my debut series is complete. My mind is blown!
It feels like yesterday (thought it was 2019) when I started writing this series. Those of you who follow me know that I wrote Knight's Rescue first thinking it would be the one that would launch the series. Once I wrote it, I decided to go back and write Knight's Haven as a prequel, but by the time I completed it, I decided it needed to be Book One and not just a prequel.
The series was meant to be five books originally - featuring Cole, Jay, Zane, BB and Wings. Well, as the series went on, the other characters spoke to me, and readers spoke to me. I started getting questions about other characters and whether they'd get their stories. So I ended up adding four more to the series - featuring Brick, Sam, Isobel and, of course, Tristin.
I decided to end the series at Book 9. (I apologize to those of you who cringe at the idea of having an odd number of books.) But you won't see the last of the Knights of KSI. I have two spin-offs planned for these characters once the original series ends. The first will be KSI Elite. The second will be Knights of KSI: Delta. I'll write more about this at a later time, but I wanted to mention them because the questions keep coming about other characters.
If you haven't read Knight's Seduction: Contemporary Romantic Suspense, I hope you plan to do so very soon. This story was fun to write and just flowed so well. I never expected BB and Gennessey to end up together when I first introduced her character, but once I did, the idea took hold. I love the two of them together. I love how they support each other without trying to change who they are.
I also loved focusing on family in this one. Gennessey comes from a huge family, so keeping track of all of her relatives in my head felt more like punishment than creativity. But I'm glad I stuck with it, and I hope you were able to follow along with me. Family is important to me, so you'll see that theme quite a bit in my books.
If you read Knight's Seduction: Contemporary Romantic Suspense, I hope you'll take the time to leave a review. Reviews are so critical to authors in getting their books seen, and they are a way for us to know how you enjoyed the book. They are a way for us to connect with readers as much as they are a way to promote the books. So please consider leaving a review, even if it's just a few words.
Happy reading!
