A Gift for You - wherever you live in the world

One Stolen Kiss and Other Stories by Anna Faversham

is free across all Amazon markets from Friday 15th March.

A collection of five short stories:

Deep in the World of the Dead – Former Army soldier, Ben, tries to settle into civilian life and moves to a new town to audition as a Big Band trumpet player. But when his housing arrangements fall through, he learns how easy it is to become homeless through no fault of his own. Dark clouds sometimes have a silver lining and none shine brighter than those with romance attached.

Judge Not – You know what they say about assumptions. A holidaymaker in Italy makes the mistake of misjudging and is humbled when, at last, she discovers the truth. Love comes in different guises.

Angela – Angels come in all shapes and sizes, and some of us have entertained them unaware. As the poet says, “God moves in a mysterious way”.

A Wonderful World – The loss of a loved one can lead to loneliness, but new doors stand open.

One Stolen Kiss – Set in 1814 England, this is a prelude to Anna Faversham's Dark Moon Trilogy. Daniel, a key figure in the smuggling community, becomes aware of a young girl who will change his life.

I hope you will enjoy them and if you do, I'd be very grateful for reviews :o)

Rosemary Mairs I recommend Anna's short story collection. Feel good, uplifting stories! My favourite was 'Deep in the World of the Dead'.

Anna Faversham Thanks Rosemary. I almost ended up homeless once so I could put some feeling into that one.

Rosemary Mairs You certainly did! An experience one dreads to ever have to face.

I'm interested to know what other readers will choose as their favourite story.

Ah... that's a good thought.

Lexie Conyngham In the middle of it now and enjoying it very much - will review at the end of the month if not before!

Anna Faversham Thank you, Lexie :o)

I decided to look up :o) to see its precise meaning (in case I'd got it wrong!) and this is what Microsoft's co-pilot came up with:-

The emoticon :o) is a playful representation of a smiling face. It combines the colon “:” for the eyes and the lowercase letter “o” for the mouth. When you see :o), imagine someone with a cheerful expression, perhaps with their mouth open in a friendly grin. It’s like saying, “Hey there, I’m happy!”

I always think the circle is the nose! I think Charles Dickens was my favourite, but I enjoyed them all. Thank you!

Anna Faversham Sorry for the late response, Lexie, I've been in hospital :o(

I'm relieved you thought the o is the nose because that's what I'd always thought!

Ah, the Charles Dickens one, I enjoyed writing that.

Lexie Conyngham Oh, no, hope all is okay!

Anna Faversham Apparently, it will be 3 months+ before I am even vaguely back to normal. Sigh. But already a week and a half have gone by. Look after your knees, guys.

message 11: by Rosemary (new)

Rosemary Mairs Sorry to hear that, Anna. Wishing you all the best for your recovery.

Oh, knees! A tricky joint - and very sore when they go wrong! Hope yours recover quickly.

Anna Faversham Thank you so much! The pain relievers make me very sleepy and I'm getting very little done - no writing at all. sigh.
