S.O.S. August 22

I was out on my usual walking route. And near the mailboxes were all these earthworms. It was unfortunately, what I would describe as, a "worm cemetery."

I should have - I usually would have - just walked past. But one worm was moving. I equate it to someone waving an S.O.S. distress signal - this worm wanted attention! And I don't even like worms… but this worm's effort was too mighty to ignore!

I grabbed a nearby leaf and gently scooped up the worm and brought it to the soil... where I watched it eagerly dig through the dirt - as if the worm suddenly had a renewed energy, a hope for survival.

The worm can't speak my language but that little guy did remind me to keep waving my S.O.S. signal to God. He will rescue me, and He will rescue you, too!

Psalm 91:14-15: “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him."

Psalm 107:28: Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.

Psalm 34:19: Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

If you need prayer for anything, let me know. I would love to pray for you!
