He became sin, who knew no sin

For the father to forsake him

Winning the cursed, he wore our curse

Only because he loved us first


Through him and for him were all things made

By him and to him were we remade

Able to but by his grace 

love him and chase his holy face. 


Taste and see the Lord is good

Taste and read his sweetest word

Of how he died and rose again

To name the wretch his dearest friend


For should a wave of wrath break forth

From the dam of common grace

And there you stand alone, afraid

Of righteous...
