One of my all time favorite series is the Sector General series by James White. Like your series, this is a medical series where doctors treat patients of all species. Different floors in the hospital cater to oxygen breathers vs. methane (or whatever) breathers.
I hope you are selling enough of both book 1 and book 2 that you can write more about our intrepid medic Melanie Mooney!!
