Let’s actually start with Amps, which is a measure of the amount of electricity, how much current.
Volts is a measure of the pressure of that electrical current.
Watts is a measure of the total electrical output, and is simply a function of the previous two measurements, Amps x Volts = Watts. Electrical output is what drives up the utility bill.
