Spring Spring Spring!

Hello!

Spring is finally here, and the sun makes everything feel better. I feel energized and excited. Three updates for you today.

All That We See or Seem is a Locus Award Finalist

The first Julia Z book is a finalist for the Locus Award for Best SF Novel!

I’m beyond pleased to see the other finalists: excellent company. I’m very grateful to the readers who understood and resonated with Julia’s struggle against loneliness in the age of machine-mediated relationships. Please check out the other finalists and see if any of them catch your fancy.

The Second Julia Z Book

The next Julia Z book (title to be announced soon) is coming in the spring of 2027.

I will have more to say on Julia’s next adventure as soon as I get the all-clear. I had even more fun writing this book than the first one, and I think readers who enjoyed getting to know her will find this one right up their alley.

ARCs for The Passing of the Dragon and Other Stories

And lastly, I love how my third collection has turned out! These ARCs (Advance Reader Copies) are meant for reviewers and may contain errors that will be fixed in the final book. I hope to reserve a few copies to share with subscribers to this newsletter. More on this soon.

I’ve also posted the full so you can see which stories are included.

Oh, one of the stories, “The Moon Carver,” about a father who dreams and a daughter who rebels—and they’re both scorions, btw, is being reprinted by The Sunday Morning Transport. Subscribe to it so you’ll get amazing stories delivered to you every week (my story will be available for free the first week of May).

Meanwhile, here are the preorder links for the collection (pre-order numbers matter a lot for authors, so thank you so much for your support):

S&S

Amazon

That’s it for this edition. Thank you, as always, for being on this journey with me.
