I think that I must have tested pretty much everyone's patience droning on about it on Facebook, Twitter, here and to complete strangers in the street who can't even read English. Sorry about that, those who haven't already pressed DEFRIEND. Believe it or not, I hate blowing my own trumpet, and look forward to the day when I have "people" to take care of such things.

Anyway, I gave away 1295 in the UK and 263 in the USA. It was fun to see my name creep up to #43 in the Amazon freebie charts...and I made#5 in the Humour section.....and trust me, I'm much funnier than those 4 American women's novels above me....so that makes me Britain's funniest (free to download ) man....for 2 days. Fame at last.

But no money.

So what now? Well, looking at my own Kindle, I see plenty of free stuff that I've never got round to reading, so I assume that's a common problem. How many of those 1558 will ever open my masterpiece, let alone read it, tell the world how much they love it and then go on to buy something else I've written?
Wait and see, I guess....and at least those 1558 have now heard of me. It's tough at the bottom.
Anyway, if the Keeper of the Cosmic Balance is reading my blog, I promise to start making an effort to read the free stuff on my Kindle.....maybe someone out there will return the favour...
