What inspired you to write this book?

I've been working on this book off and on for a long time. The inspiration started when I divorced and had four kids to raise. The Lord started moving in my life making me aware that He wanted to be first. He wanted me to know that until I was completely satisfied with Him and loving Him first, no other man would ever satisfy me.

I shared part of my dating experience in the book in the story entitled "Dead Weight". You see, because I made the Lord first in my life, He had complete control and He wouldn't allow me to have just anyone in my life anymore. So no matter how much I thought I loved and needed a man in my life, if Jesus said no, that was the way it had to be.

The "Dead Weight" story was one I thought I would never share with anyone, but one day the Lord moved upon me and said it was time.
