Virgin Authors

T.D. Waesch and I have learned so much since we launched our first book on November 18th. Most of these lessons have been somewhat painful and embarrassing.

1. Make sure the book is edited to perfection. - I think we took that book down four times before getting it as close to perfect as we could.

2. Make sure you load the correct version of the book. - There is nothing closer to feeling like you are going to implode than realizing that you uploaded the blank template for the sequel.

3. Acquire a thicker skin. - Accept and realize that not everyone is going to be happy with your book. Our sense of humor is not for the weak or sensitive.

4. Be thankful for your friends and family because they are the ones that will support you through it all. - You really do find out who your friends are. They are the ones that not only buy the book, but also call you laughing as they read it and gently tell you where the typos are. They also encourage you to keep at it.

I hope that people take the time to read our little book. We are writing the sequel as I type. We hope to have it completed by February.
