Teaser from In Control!

“Come on, I wanna show you something,” Wren said, reaching for my hand.
“The last time you said that, we ended up naked.” I took his fingers, entwining them with mine.
Wren didn’t acknowledge my remark, instead he began walking onto the warm sand, practically dragging me behind him.
We had been in The Hamptons for only three hours, but the moment we arrived, Wren was like a child on Christmas morning. I tried unloading our luggage from the car, but he insisted we unpack later. I wasn’t sure what he had planned all summer. My constant questioning only resulted in made-up answers, my favorite being, “We’re going to steal from all the rich people and leave the scene as billionaires.”
The sky was nearly black with streaks of orange and purple, revealing a perfect mural for whatever Wren had prepared.
“Will you just tell me what’s going on?” I asked, pulling on his arm to grab his attention.
“No.”
“You’re an ass,” I uttered.
Finally, Wren stopped and stood in front of an abandoned blanket. He turned around, a child-like grin on his face.
“What?” I questioned, a slight edge in my voice.
Wren laughed, shaking his head back and forth. “Sit down, Kingsley.”
I sat down, the sand sinking from my weight, and looked up at him. “Will you tell me now?”
Wren joined me on the blanket, kneeling directly in front of me. He leaned forward and whispered, “There’s something I want to do that I’ve never done before.”
His cocked eyebrow instilled a raging fire in the pit of my stomach. It took only seconds to take off our clothes. Wren’s hands wrapped around my body, our skin grazing together. I didn’t care that I was naked in public. It’s not the first time I’d bared all in such a public place, but this topped my list. Our bodies molded together, and suddenly I was on my back. The stars above us danced across the black sky, performing pirouettes for my eyes. Wren’s hands traveled the length of my body, leaving inches of skin begging to be touched longer. His lips swept across my shoulder, sheathing my entire body in goosebumps.
“I want you. Now,” I whispered. Air escaped my lungs faster than I could replace it, and with one motion of Wren’s fingers entering me, I was left gasping.
He pushed my knees farther apart, his eyes focused on mine, watching as evidence of satisfaction filled my face. My eyebrows shot together just as his fingers pushed deeper inside of me, locating the spot that allowed my entire body to relish in pure pleasure. My lips were moving, so many words leaving my mouth at once, my throat becoming raw as the intensity of my orgasm ended.
I needed more. I needed Wren. Pulling him back on top of me, I tightly wrapped my legs around his torso. The blanket that was once perfectly laid out was now a mess beneath our bodies. The sand had found it’s way onto our skin, and I felt it scrape across my arms.
“Do you want me?” Wren asked as he left a trail of kisses along my neck.
“Always,” I breathed out, still trying to catch my breath.
For just a moment, we looked into each other’s eyes. This was one thing I never did, never allowing myself to see into a person’s soul. I was so thankful for the moon reflecting off of the ocean, giving us the chance to simply stare at one another. I looked past the deep brown irises, past the pupils surrounding it. I could have sworn I saw his heart, and like a projector, it displayed everything he felt for me.
I broke my gaze, suddenly feeling overwhelmed by what I saw. His love was so evident, which made every part of me hurt. The kind of love he was showing me couldn’t exist. Pushing the thoughts away, I directed him inside of me, needing to fill every empty, pathetic corner. Wren pushed deeper, and my back was now directly on the sand. I could feel the tiny particles in places they shouldn’t be, but there was no way I was going to reposition myself. My nails scraped against Wren’s back as he pushed farther inside of me. I never wanted this to end. The sound of the ocean, the full moon along with the shining stars. For once, I wasn’t concerned about my feelings. I was letting my fingers, my lips, my pointed toes do the talking for me.
Wren exerted more force, his movements speeding up. My fingers trailed across his back, feeling the beads of sand stuck to his skin. I knotted my fingers in his hair and pulled lightly on his short locks. Sand was now everywhere, and it would take days for both of us to wash the traces away. A deep pang screamed from inside of me, craving the seconds of euphoria. The ache was building and building, my heart beating so quickly, it should have exploded in my chest.
Seconds, no, minutes … no, it had to be seconds. My body trembled, my nails so deep into Wren’s back I’d be surprised if there were no traces of blood. Seconds of insane, mind-numbing, ecstasy. My toes had been pointed so long, a sharp pain ran through the joints. Wren’s full weight now rested on my chest, and he was breathing heavily into my ear. I closed my eyes, relishing in the feeling that only sex could give me. Those seconds where I could convey myself completely without using words. Where my body was an acceptable gift, and I didn’t have to mutter my feelings to sweeten the moment.
His breathing slowed, and he lifted his head slightly to kiss my cheek. If my veins were filled with poison, his lips were the antidote.
“Well, isn’t this classy?”
Wren practically jumped off me, covering our bodies with the blanket. Neither of us heard anyone approaching the beach, and my first thought was how long did this pervert stand there and watch before making their presence known.
My second thought came shortly after. I knew who the voice belonged to. The same voice that penetrated every barrier I ever put up.
It was Porter, and he was here to ruin everything.
