Coming very soon from me is my little anti-war book. Containing two short stories (one of them is illustrated by me) the book considers war and killing from two distict perspectives; the personal and the national, or, the microcosmic and the macrocosmic.
The first story surrounds a Sergeant in the army who is asked to sit down and just tell the amazing story of his time in the war, and takes us on a journey from a huge anti-war protest before the war, through the trenches and commando raids, right up to the 'precision bombing' of civilian houses and the burial of the enemy dead in huge grave pits.
The second story surrounds the fight to the death of three massive economic and military superpowers in a war that engulfs their whole world and causes casualties measured in the billions, and follows the political developments of the three nations involved as they vascillate bewteen justification for the war and the desperate struggle for survival, depending on how the war is going today.
The book will be about £4.50 and weighs in at about 21,000 words.
