I received a gift copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Sable Turner may look like y our typical teen on the outside but she is far from it. Her family life is a joke and the only time she gets any attention is when she is getting the crap beat out of her by her cousin! One day the beating goes to far and Sable ends up in the hospital. Dante has had enough of seeing Sable being mistreated by her cousin Jenna and finally gets others involved. His only motive being that he has wanted to get close to Sable for some time now but has been too scared to. In his effort to get to know her he asks his friends to ask her to join their drama club. Sable is not used to people even acknowledging her existence let alone asking her to be a part of anything. This is a wonderful story with some great messages built in. It is a definite must read you will enjoy the journey that Sable takes and learn some things along the way that will simply make your jaw drop.Singling Out Sable
