September is Indie Author Takeover Month
As you may or may not already know, I’m taking a read and review break next month and will also be avoiding spending too much time on social media, all in an effort to fit in more quality writing time. Since this leaves me with an inactive blog for the month, I decided the best thing to do was to invite my fellow indie authors to ‘takeover’ my blog for the month.
This is your open invitation to this takeover!
So, if you have a new release, a book that is on special promo, or if you want to share an excerpt or an article you’ve written relating to books or writing, all you need to do is send me the information you want me to post!
I’ve also pulled together an indie author interview so if anyone wants to do this instead of sharing their own post please email me before the 20th August as I will need the answers back before the end of the month. If you need me to post on a specific date please state this date when you email me. Email me by 30th August with ‘Indie Takeover’ in the subject line and I’ll get your post scheduled in: sharonstevensonauthor@gmail.com
Important Notes:
Please send ALL of the information you want posted. I won’t be taking the time to check every last piece of information so if a link doesn’t work or you’ve missed something out I won’t pick up on it and I won’t have time to change anything once it’s posted.
I’m aiming to make this as quick and simple as possible so I will email you back at the end of August with the date that your post will go up and then it will be up to you to check my blog on that day (I won’t be online every day in September, but will tweet/share all blog posts whenever I am).
Lastly, do not just send me the cover and blurb of your book with no other information. I won't post it if you do this. If you're creative enough to write a book, you're capable of selling it better than that and you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't even try. Give me an excerpt, or tell us all why we should be reading it. You can supply reviewer quotes or explain why you had a burning need to write this particular book. If it's on free offer or sale or it's a new release give me dates and/or links on where readers can grab it.
