Book 540 is an Indie writers' project in the Reviews Initiative for Indie Books group, which will feature a select collection of flashtales of 540 words or less. It's a response to the junk contaminating the Indie book market, and is intended to showcase some of the good writing that's out there. I've submitted two stories of my own - but the real reward has been discovering the wonderful work that other writers have submitted. Like Sluggish Bullet, The Bliss of Innocence, The Rest of the Story (etc, etc!). Make sure you get a copy when it's done, don't miss all the submissions, because even those that might not be in the final collection (perhaps because the author has submitted too many good stories!) are excellent.
