I have the proof in my hand and have found a few errors in the text, so I fear I will have to resubmit the file and get another proof. Oh dear...delays, delays, delays. I'm not sure the cover came out as I wanted either so I'm wondering about changing that.
This is all a bit disappointing but I think I can still get the book available on Amazon before Christmas week. At least, that's my goal.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Oh my goodness, I thought I was the only one!I uploaded my book after an 'editing' only for someone to kindly point out another error. I was mortified. I stupidly trusted the proofreader and didn't double check, my bad and something I've learnt from the hard way.
However, Christmas week is still very good. x It will all be worth it in the end. x
Thanks again, Louisa. No...you're not the only one by any means. And I keep telling myself that none of us are perfect. I expect that there will still be something that should be fixed even after publication. :D
My friend and editor in England is still making corrections to his books and they've been out for years. hee hee
This is so exciting, Sharon!Ah, yes. Delays, delays, fixing, fixing, that's just how being an author is I think :)
Who is the publisher?

Thank you, Elizabeth.
The corrections are done manually in the Proof, now I'm in the process of making the changes in the file. Hopefully it will be completed today and off to the publisher again by tonight (I hope, I hope, I hope...). Then the waiting for the next Proof begins again, but they are pretty prompt in getting that out, so I'm still hoping that it will be available at Amazon before Christmas. In the meantime, I'll check for the corrections to be done online in their digital system.
So far, I have had my books published through CreateSpace and have been very pleased with the way they do business. They were recommended to me by Bruce Van Horn, another author, due to my fixed income status. I've been forever grateful to him for the advice. This is my 3rd novel.
Thank you for the support and encouragement.
