February Amazon top 10 best seller with over 100 reviews (4.5+) "BOY IN A BAND"
5 Emotional, electric!Byhorrorgirldonna "author of Notes from the End of the World"on March 31, 2015Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseWhen teenager Morgan meets gorgeous blond and blue-eyed Mathew, a naughty-boy rock singer, she is left shaken by the chemistry. But, their relationship is complex and complicated, and she decides she would be better off to stay away him. But that’s easier said than done. Lisa Loomis has created some memorable, highly relatable characters in this first book in her Morgan Mallory edgy coming-of-age series. Beautifully written, she is able to evoke memories (both good and bad) of that first love and all the stupid things we do when we start thinking with our hearts and hormones instead of our brains. It just ends up being a series of hard lessons. It’s steamy and the plot has so many twists and turns that I read nearly all of it in one sitting. Plus, the ending may just piss you off a little, but it’s just like life, isn’t it? As a 40-something, I also appreciated the 1970s setting—Loomis captured it so well. That alone made this book worth reading, at least to me. The sexy, sometimes hard-hitting storyline was a bonus. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more from this author.
