There are nights, like this one, that deserve the pleasant flavor and ease of a properly dry Martini. Tonight is one of those nights, and I am enjoying a properly dry Martini.

Be warned: If anyone offers you a Martini and then deigns to shake the mix, or if they omit the proper amount of dry vermouth - they are not your friend.

Never shake and never omit the dry vermouth.
