A Few of My Poems

A few of my poems, enjoy : )

-Tides of Fear Pools of Pain-

“Receding like the tide exposing all the hurt
Nothing can bring it back nothing could have held it in place

Emptiness fills the spaces leaving no room for living
Silence will not bring peace only pause from the pain

What is lost can't be missed without any love
To miss out on this love is to miss out on life itself

I see what I lost now I hear my silence coming
Nothing can stop me and nothing will bring me back”

-GEM-

"Why is a gem so desired and valued so much that people will spend a fortune to have
Wage wars to posses and risk lives to own

Is it the glitter, the sparkle, the wealth or value? No.

It's the way it makes you feel when you look at it
It's the way it warms your heart while wearing it
Knowing you have something one of a kind

Beauty second to none...incomparable to anything else in the world...a gem
Dani, you are my gem"

-Organic Sunscreen-

"Naked and blistering from the rays of reality's radiance
No shelter, no relief and no mercy

Unfortunate and inexperienced ones parish first
Dependent and the naive follow
Innocent and undisciplined fall prey too

Cynicism never saves only traps
Cruelty returns evermore bitter

Hate will devour from within to the core
Violence is blind, destructive and supererogatory
Force, manipulation and deceit have their consequences

Trust doesn't come calling nor can it be earned..it's recognized
Acceptance is earned and character strengthens in time

Honesty and generosity need be moderated and measured
Forgiveness above all else if it's deserving and warranted
Swaddle your blisters with cloth saturated in love, joy and courage"

Excerpt from: future novel copyright protected by Aaron Millar.

-The Need-

“I feel it bury itself deep inside me and sure like a childhood memory
Its warmth wraps me in a satisfying completeness

I wait eagerly for it to come-developing slowly-budding then flowering
My time spent with it is precious and adored

Grudgingly I accept the passing of its temporary existence
Its inevitable absence withdraws the felicity and deposits the listlessness

I enact its return but am powerless to control it
I fool myself at first then fool myself again

If it were a good friend it would have left me, knowing it would be best
If it were an enemy it would have left me in its wake to drown

I feel vulnerable and lost without its presence
When I'm with it I am still searching but comforted

It can't last forever things this good never do
Its end will be abrupt if I see it thru…its end will be agonizingly long if I end it now
I always want to be with it but I never want to face it
Just as it fulfills me…some day it will destroy me.”

-Mother-

Birthed and cared for from one in the same
To their grave they will be grand if lucky they will be great

Above everything else their purpose to be one
Nothing they wouldn't sacrifice or risk to provide

Speechless beauty and unyielding presence
Warmth compassion and endless patience

A bond greater than their own desires and passions
A miracle appreciated for a lifetime

Forever loved and always loving
From for which we come to which we owe with honor

Excerpt from: future novel copyright protected by Aaron Millar.
