This Saturday, February 27th, I’ll be on the food blogger panel at Edible Philly‘s Eating Words, a one-day food writing conference at the Free Library of Philadelphia.
You might be like, “You, Anna? A food writer? When did that happen? I thought you just wrote snappy posts about guys with long fingernails.”
Well, I’ve been working hard to expand my food writing portfolio the past few months. I was guest editor of Eater Philly for a week in November. I had two features in the winter issue of Edible Philly, and I’ve recently contributed several posts to both Thrillist Philadelphia and TheKitchn. I’ve actually been doing so much food writing, I had to rearrange my writing page on this site to highlight all the food-centric content I’ve been pumping out.
It’s $85 to attend the conference, and with panels on pitching, food photography, cookbook publishing, and social media, it will be a full, informative day. If you’re a food writer, food blogger, or just curious about what this scene’s all about, definitely come. You can buy tickets here. I hope to see you there!
