Neighbors considered seven year old Harmony Phillips, her father Cornell Phillips and her mother Estelle Pointer, to be upstanding citizens in their quiet little estate at Concord Manor. They turned a blind eye to the lavish lifestyle they lived, compliments of Cornell's involvement in the drug trade. When at the tender age of five, Harmony is abruptly taken away from her home by her scorned mother, her world is rocked. Without her father's protection, she doesn't just lose her expensive dolls she also loses any chance of a normal and healthy life.
Many years later, under the mental and physical abuse of her mother, Harmony develops a seething hate toward all women, including herself. She quickly develops into a cold, calculating, young and beautiful woman. What a deadly combination. After crossing the wrong people, Harmony is forced to relocate out of state. Before long, her fast sexual lifestyle causes her to breed kids of her own. Eventually she teaches her children every backbiting trick she knows. And if they go against her, she subjects them to abuse far greater than that she endured by the hands of her mother.
When Harmony discovers that she has inherited Concord Manor, she uproots her children from their new home in Texas, and moves them back to Maryland. Secrets come out within Concord's walls and somehow, her children gain the confidence they'll need to fight for their lives.
Raunchy is a heartbreaking, explicit story of failed mother and daughter relationships. And although hope looms in this tale, it can undoubtedly be said that if some women are not fit to be mothers, Harmony Phillips is the worst of them all.

Raunchy is a heartbreaking story of failed mother and daughter relationship. This was the first book I read by Author T. Styles and definite would not be the last. This book was so good it was hard to put down.
Cornell Phillips is a well known drug dealer, married to Estelle along with their five year old daughter. They live in quiet estate at Concord Manor. After reading Raunchy all I could say was WOW...this book was titled perfect. Raunchy will take you thru such emotions, you be left sitting with your mouth open.... Raunchy shows you when kids who become adults that were never showed any love or how to love what consquences it may hold. The author takes you straight to the core of the story within the first few pages. This book is filled with love, pain, betrayal and a lot of drama.
I would recommend this book to any book lover. This was the best I have read so far in the year 2011.
Raunchy contain just about every raunchy deed a person can commit. This story has incest, child abuse, pedophiles, STD outbreak, teen age pregnancy, murder, baby swapping, drug dealers the list goes on and on. Harmony has only been loved been truly loved by one person and that was her father. After he was arrested her life goes downhill fast and she never recovers from the treatment of her family members. She continues the cycle with her kids and teaches them everything she knows which is absolutely nothing. Then this whole cycle starts over again with the kids.
It was a good book it kept my attention but I think I'm more interested in seeing what happens with the kids. Harmony was just heartless and cared about no one not even herself. Yes she had a rough life and that is even an understatement but I knew her kids were in going to be in trouble and especially if she had girls. And she didn't disappoint in getting the Worst Mother in the History of Street Lit award. I thought her mother was bad and she probably would have been as bad as Harmony if she lived long enough
This story will definitely take you on an emotional roller coaster ride with no seatbelt. I don't know how T.Styles comes up with the things she writes about but it blows my mind every time. The subjects that she talks about isn't for everyone so be warned.
This story centers around a girl name Harmony and all the drama surrounding her. I went from feeling sorry for her to hating her. From the first page to the last you will be entertained and not have one dull moment. The last three chapters had me on the edge of my seat. Literally!
Harmony Phillps had the life that every little girl dream of,she never wanted for nothing but who would've know she has the mother from hell. Her father Cornell Phillps a known drug dealer is taking to jail & after her mother has a jealous fit and after that,Harmony life has never been the same.Forced to go live with her grandma Estelle you can def see that the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. With no motherly figure from her mother or grandmother who are both alcoholics Harmony has no choice but to turn to the streets searching for love that she will never find, but when she finds her crush jace she thinks all her problems are solved but they are not lurking back in the corners is her suppose to be best friend Kalive aka Kali who will stop at nothing to get her attention because just like harmony he is searching for love to.As time goes on Harmony Thinks she can get everything she will get everything she need by having sex with everybody no one is off limits not even Jace friends.
When Jace come into his own and take over his Father empire money is the only thing on his mind and he will stop at nothing to get it.When he finds out that he has a killer after him he is force to go to LA to find out what is going on and learn the truth of what really happen before he was born.Later finding out that he a weak link he has to find out who it is plus keep the killer off his back, but when he find out the truth to a lot of things it will shock you.
Raunchy is not for the weak so be ready for what you read. At times this book had me mad and I had 2 put it down but it was a very good read you wont be disappointed!!!!!

*(Heaving a big sigh)* I do not know why I continue to subject myself to reading these types of books. My friend says its b/c "we all need somebody else drama in our lives!" The main character in this book was just plain ignorant. Harmony Phillips was just 5 yrs old when she witnessed her father's murder and suffered mental and physical abuse by her mother, grandmother, and uncle. Since then her life was just one big mess of lies and deceit. This book was boring and Harmony's character was just so ignorant it almost made you not want to feel sorry for her. The beginning of the book was just horrible and disgusting. I hate reading about children getting sexually abused and by her grandmother was just plain gross. Harmony did have a hard life growing up surrounded by low-down people. But, I felt in one sense Harmony's character was contradiction. Harmony was devastated by the murder of her father b/c he apparently was the only one she felt loved her. Through out the book the was the one sensitive spot Harmony had and she longed to have her father back. In the beginning of the book right before her father died her father gave Harmony some advice and that was to get an education and be smart. However, Harmony did not take this advice from her father. For all Harmony claims to have loved her father, she neglected to do the one piece of positive advice her father gave her before his murder. Harmony never learned how to take care of herself, she was so hateful and plain ignorant. Once she had her twins who she perpetrated as boys when they were really girls, she relied on them as young kids to make money and support her by using threats and force. Harmony was just plain trifling and I did not like this book. I am sorta of looking forward to book 2 to find out what happens to Harmony's daughter Mad.

I need to look up the definition of raunchy! All I kept thinking is this book is very disturbing! But I couldn't stop reading to find out the why's, what's, who's and how's. It kept me intrigued. The first part of the book I didn't know if I'd make it through because of the level of disturbia it had me in but I figured it had to get some what less disturbing as the story carried on. I'll be reading the rest of the series to follow along on Harmony, Jace, Kali and the twin's lives. I know it will hold nothing but drama and "raunchiness"!
No more hood books for me. This book caused me to feel physically ill. Who can possibly be as sick as the characters in this book? This went beyond generational curses and far beyond abuse. This mess was psychologically twisted.🤬
Whewww, this was a lot. First off let me say there are some situations in this story that will probably make your stomach turn. I don’t want to give it away, but it first happens pretty early on so you can make your decision whether you want to continue it or not.
Now let’s get into it. Harmony is absolutely horrible. She had a terrible childhood so I tried to give her some grace but I’m sorry at some point you have to realize you cannot continue through life the way you were raised. The same way she was treated horribly, she is treating her children equally as horrible. & then she constantly wonders why no one loves, cares for her, etc. Girl look at the type of person you are! You can’t expect good things to happen to you when you aren’t good to anyone! Again yes I understand that she shouldn’t have went through what she went through in her childhood, but that should push her to be better, do better. I’m very interested to see what happens with her children. It already seems they are going down a very terrible path and Harmony is absolutely to blame for that.
As I read this I found myself gasping ,mouth open shaking my head MANY TIMES... As a Social Justice advocate my ALARM BELLS would not stop RINGING... Not only are their children that have/are enduring this type of ABUSE but it is more PREVALANT today because the "Foster" parent is only looking for their PAY OFF....I couldn't help but think about the kids whom I KNOW have been left to WOLVES....I also found that the writting was so VIVid only a person with FIRST hand knowledge could have written this story. This again caused me to have emphathy for all who share this "STORY" as their REALITY.....GREAT SUBJECT MATTER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow T. Styles! Raunchy was...a jaw dropper! This book displays horrible parenting in many ways. Harmony was not only mentally but physically abused as a child, which caused her to abuse her own children. She was never showed how to love or really had anyone that showed her any affection, other than the men that she was involved with. All of these reasons allowed her to become the selfish, abusive, and raunchy person that she had become. I would have loved to see Harmony evolve in this book but her character remained the same throughout the entire book. I can't wait to see what happens in the second book with the twins.
Raunchy is the story of Harmony Phillips. Harmony starts off as a sweet and innocent little girl who loses it all when her mother takes her away from the lap of luxury. From then on Harmony is introduced to a world of sex, lies, and alcohol. Suffering from the abuse her mother and Grandmother inflict on her, Harmony begins to spiral out of control. I gave Raunchy by T.Styles a well deserved 5 stars. The story was heartbreaking with the stories of abuse, pain, and suffering. Can't wait to see what parts 2 and 3 bring. Keep up the great work T. Styles!
i looked at the movie a long time ago and i decided to just read the book…it had a few misspellings but without that..it was good. i love how the author broke down every character and their story. i loved the book better honestly because its more details.. like half the stuff in here wasn’t in the movie. harmony was wilding..honestly i think she would had been better if her dad was still in her life….. and she really really loveddd jace.. she treated them kids wrong because of it.. but that’s MY opinion
This book was RAW and HEARTBREAKING!! I just want to say I appreciate my mother even more and I’m thankful she never put me through any of the situations and pain Harmony had to endured. This book NEVER let up, you know how you read a book and it’s so good but sometimes it gets slow well not this book drama after drama and not to mention this was real life shit happening! This book has six parts and I’m ready to read all of them!
If you decide to read this book please check trigger warnings because it gets like that!
I learned of this book upon stumbling across her YouTube channel. T Styles was discussing the N Harris case. This was a good book and it kept me interested. And I wouldn’t mind reading the next book.
This has had to be one of the best urban books that i've read in a long time. The mom was nuts then turned a daughter that wasn't even hers into something far worse
This book was good but super, super wild. Almost unrealistic but then I realized everybody's life is different and things like this actually can happen. I will probably finish the series.
SOOOO T.styles did her damn thing in this book, right when i got to the middle of the book I ended up ordering the second one. Harmony i really felt bad for how she was treated as she was growing up, its a sad case. And its alot of females like her that get done like that as they're young. and that makes them not realize the type of love they deserve in life. I mean harmony never got any love from anyone except her daddy and he ended up getting killed, and i feel like harmony also got treated like she did because her mother wasn't her biological mother. but as harmony got older she gave off them hoodrat tendencies that really disgusted me. and she went everywhere looking for love from everyone. and her mind frame became messed up because it was like "what are you giving me?" or "what can you give me?" and the one real good man that she actually loved ended up getting killed. I did NOT like her auntie angela by the way. as time went on the way harmony was done rubbed off on the way she treated her own kids. when i tell you harmony shouldve been one them women that shouldnt of been allowed to have kids.. I MEAN JUST THAT. she was a horrible horrible mother. on multiple occasions I wanted to fuck her up my damn self. The same way she was treated and raised she was raising her daughters up in the same santanic way. Kali is a man that i HATE in this book as well.. i straight hate dude and knowing that he is the father to one of harmony's kids is tragic, hes not even daddy material. the ending had me like WOOOOW. soooo be prepared to see me on the next book updating everything. T.styles did her damn thing on this one here and i hope the next one is even more juicy !

This book is scary asf. I went through so many emotions while reading it. This book is the most crazy, sad, illiterate, over the top, disrespectful, sad, upsetting, heartbreaking, sickening, trifling, devastating, and every other word in the dictionary you can think of. I’ve read many books but this one here made me feel weird and I didn’t like it because it was sick shit inside this book. But no matter how much horrible emotions it stirred I kept reading because I wanted to know how things played out. To find out there are 4 others parts makes me wonder am I mentally strong enough to continue reading about these sick shenanigans 😩
What the hell did I just read?? Legit! Raunchy is definitely the best fitting title for this book. It was definitely entertaining, but there were too many times during the book I was like WHOA, how Raunchy. Harmony is not only a terrible mother, a manipulative liar, but also a terrible human overall.. this book will show to you all the twisted things she's not only gone through herself, but all the terrible things she has done to others. As sick and twisted as this book was, it was definitely one to remember. Not even sure if I want to continue to read part 2 but who am I kidding I got to know what happens next!
Wow!! This book was..... "I don't know what to say....." T. Styles has great writing skills, maybe to damn good. This book was twisted in every way imaginable! What's sad is children go through child abuse as severe as what I read in this book, and most times is a generational curse. I want to say the book was really good, but on the other hand I feel like a sick individual to be able to get through this book and want to read the next. I want to know what happens to Jayden & Mad, hopefully book 2 will not be so bad/good!!
I don't know what I expected when I purchased this book entitled Raunchy. It had a little bit of everything. When Harmony father was alive his Princess had everything she wanted, but when he was sent to prison everything fell apart. I'm walls Monster Mom, mean, hateful grandmother and the rapist uncle. Harmony was a slit who felt entitled. She treated Maureen and Mad exactly how she was treated. Kali was sick in the head, He killed everything that moved. An interesting read, can't wait for book 2. Sick happening s in this book.
