Keeping us hanging...
If we were in the same room right now, Stephanie, I might box your ears! You lost one of my stars because I crave happy endings and this saga is already past long enough.
Not that the idiotic, irritating female deserves the deliciously hot man after running away (how many times, I lost count?) and having umpteen meltdowns over "the dead wife" question. Now, to mark the end of book 6, she's having another one. In fact, I'd love to slap her too! (Perhaps a warning to other menopausal readers - the violence can be addictive.)
So, the next book is going to be about Jared's past, presumably with little hope of it returning to his present and future? Please, Stephanie, I'm waiting to go back and read Afterlife again. Have mercy!
I must, grudgingly, end by asserting that this authoress (refuse to be "woke" and call her an author) is actually far and away the BEST writer of the supernatural. It's her doing that I am still in hopeless lust over Lucius and the very mention of his name elsewhere brings a smile to my lips. Following my amazement over Afterlife, I tried many others in this field. None come close. (Just saving you the effort, and the disappointment, here.)
