My Book wasn't just any ordinary book, it educated me more than I could ever fathom. (page 193) "Cellular respiration is used to free chemical energy from molecules of glucose." It taught me everything I wish was tattooed in my memory from birth, as if it was written on the walls of my brain to read aloud for others, constantly adding the needed knowledge. Mathematical knowledge, Science comprehension, Arithmetic reasoning, Biology, Anatomy, Complementary numbers, Auto shop, Electronical knowledge, ect. The book itself, expanded my knowledge, and taught me the importance of education. This is why I gave it a five out of five star rating, because it had no flaws, it taught me everything I needed to know for the test three weeks in the future.
"ASVAB for dummies" consisted of 500 pages, all of which were carried with bold words along with drawings, for the goal of understanding the subject. This book expanded my mind, (page 347) " Layer name; mesosphere, located 50 miles above the Earth, where Millions of meteors burn up daily as a result of collisions with the gas particles contained there." My heart is devoted to the knowledge this book carries. Education equals success.

The title connects to the book because it was intended to give people knowledge in a subject with little prior knowledge. The book’s title was meaningful because it intends to teach people about the ASVAB with little to no prior knowledge. The book’s purpose is to cover all aspects of the ASVAB and and achieves this through questions and answers and it does achieve its goal of doing so. The authors writing style was like a discussion between author and reader and I liked this writing style. What strikes to me as noteworthy as all answers came with an explanation why it’s the correct answer or why it isn’t the correct answer. The topics of discussion this book raise is about how easy or hard the tests are. The audience that would appreciate this book are people looking to join the armed forces. What I noticed about the author’s craft was the author in a way talks to the person reading the book. One aspect I enjoyed was the ability to answer questions and recieve explanations. If I could change something in the book I would’ve went into more detail on mechanical parts as there are people who don’t have any prior knowledge in mechanics.

Given as a gift to my grandson to prepare to take the test. The higher the score, the longer the list of opportunities!

I'm disappointed. A lot of the science and technical information is wrong. Formulas are written incorrectly so the math does not work out or specific vocabulary words are switched (cellular respiration vs. metabolism for instance). I've come to expect better of the For Dummies series.

Really good breakdown of knowledge sections and easy to review materials for those who have learned the material but maybe just not seen it in a while.

I am rod powers,Asvab is the most widely used multiple-aptitude test battery in the world, originally published in january 2003,genre is a study guide,Rod powers was born november 3,1948 age 69 he is a retired air force first sergeant with 22 years of active duty since 1975,Since his retirement, rod has become a world-renowned military careers expert.(author of the asvab books)
The books genre is study guide it tells the reader about the stuff you will see on the asvab and how to do certain things on there like math, reading, and even science it was meant to get people ready for the test but me personally i don't think that the book is informational at all.I fell like it is good for people who want to get a early start before joining the military.
Throughout the book it talks about different problems you will see other than your basic math, science, history and it also shows how to do the problems in in what order to do them.It never gets off topic in never gets into more detail about the military it mainly shows problems for you to solve.
The written style of the book never changes it stays being a study guide all the way throw the book.Rod powers had created a masterpiece and he knew he had to make more that's why he mad at least 6 other asvab books in even made millions off of it.He has help so many people by making this book and because of that everyone should thank him for it.
He was very direct and informational in the book by letting us know what is to be inspected on the test and it was also helpful for those who are not prepared for the test, overall the books i've read this book was the most interesting book i've ever read.I would give this book a 9/10.
