The dragon equivalent of Sesame Street’s The Monster at the End of this Book. You hatch a baby dragon by turning the page. The narrator foolishly tells you to tickle her nose which causes your book to catch fire. The narrator then blames you for following its orders, so when it tells you not to do something, do we trust this unreliable narrator? No says my two year old daughter, we think not. We see the lies for what they are and we won’t stand for this. Free the dragon! Free it!

There really is a dragon in this book and she’s adorable! This interactive book is so cute that you your kids will love doing everything possible to help out this newly hatched dragon. The illustrations are so endearing and her expressions are so delightful that I couldn’t help myself. I tickled her nose and that made her sneeze, which started a fire that I had to help blow out. Whether you’re flapping the book to help her fly or imagining yummy treats to feed her, this little sweetie is going to make her way into your heart. I need to borrow someone’s kid so I can read this to someone who’ll appreciate it as much as I do.

Flew too close to the sun and tried to read it to a group of like 28 5-year-olds. Had to let everyone high five the dragon on the way out so there wasn't a riot.
Maybe better for groups of 5 or fewer lol. Very cute tho!

Me ha gustado mucho este libro ilustrado. me ha recordado a 'Un libro' de Hervé Tullet por la parte en la que pretende interaccionar con el lector haciéndole participe de la historia. Muy cuqui y recomendable tanto para peques como para adultos.

This title is reminiscent of The Monster at the End of This Book, but it also has enough of its own creativity to make it ridiculously fun and cute. I mean, you get to high-five an adorable little dragon baby! You should probably go to the shelves and find this gem right now. -Sara S.

Tom Fletcherin "Tässä kirjassa asuu lohikäärme!" (Mäkelä, 2019) on interaktiivinen kuvakirja, jossa lapsen toiminta (mm. lohikäärmeen nenän kutittaminen) vie juonta eteenpäin. Tarina on aika olematon, mutta satutunnilla kirja toimi oikein hyvin, ja sai kokonaisen huoneen lapsia ja aikuisia heiluttamaan käsiään lohikäärmeen siipien tahtiin.

, return with this second interactive picture-book. Discovering an egg on the first page, the reader/listener is given a series of warnings and instructions, leading to a fun storytime experience as the eponymous little dragon battles, together with her audience, to put out some flames...
Like its predecessor, I found There's a Dragon in Your Book a sweet, engaging tale, one which pairs an involving, interactive text with bright, colorful illustrations. The dragon herself is adorable, and the use of various background shades on the different two-page spreads makes for an engaging visual experience. This style of book, in which the reader is required to participate in the storytelling process, seems to have become much more popular recently, perhaps with the advent of Hervé Tullet's work, and this is a fun addition to the genre. Recommended to anyone who is looking for interactive picture-books, or who read and enjoyed Fletcher and Abbott's first foray together.

An incredibly cute interactive picture book for babies. I know what I'd give to my little niece and nephew to play with. I adore that the baby dragon is a girl, too.

There are a lot of these interactive books out there these days and I'm all for it, because I'm all about audience participation! While this is clearly meant for actual "hands on" activity, I could easily use it with a group, and the bold bright pictures here would be great for the Zoom/YouTube story hours I'm doing these days.

Oh dear, there is an adorable little dragon in your book! A fun and cute book!
I am slowly getting through the Who’s In Your Book series. This one was next, my library didn’t have it in English so I read this one in Dutch.
In this one we find an egg in the book but quite soon the egg hatches in the most adorable little dragon ever! But one may guess that having dragons in books isn’t a good fit. Especially not when they breathe fire. Or when they sneeze that they blow out fireballs! I laughed, I giggled, I followed the instructions (which including imagining a huge waterballoon to keep the book from burning to a crisp), and I just had so so much fun.
I think this one is my favourite out of all the books I have read so far. It was way friendlier to the creature and also way more fun. The things the author asks you to do are kind and sweet. Not rude like in the alien in which we were asked to get rid of it. That was just too much for me. But in this one I just had warm fuzzy feelings as I flipped the pages.
The ending had me in stitches. OH DEAR. Yep, close the book. 😛 Though I would rather keep it open because of all that cuteness!
I would have liked to see, just like with the other books, that instead of seeing nothing behind the holes that they would be actual holes, or would show the next page instead of just white or another colour as background. I think that would have made it more authentic.
But all in all, this was a ton of fun. I definitely want to see if I can find the Elf book next, probably will have to buy it as I am sure my libraries don’t have it. I would recommend this dragon book to all. Fun and interactive and full of imagination!

What a cute book! My daughter loved this book. It was so much fun.
My daughter loves books like this. At the very beginning it tells you not to turn the page, and my daughter thinks it’s hilarious when she does turn the page, and things start to happen.
This book is interactive. It tells you to “help put out the fire”, and to “pop the balloon”. My daughter thinks it’s hilarious. We had a blast reading this book, and of course had to read it more than once. She even “read” it to herself later.
A great, fun read for toddlers with short, fun sentences.

Cine te întâmpină la început de carte? Un ou mare și mov, din care nu iasă un puiuț mic și galben, ci o puiuță de dragon verde. Hai să o gâdilăm puțin pe nas. Oh, nu, dragonița a strănutat și a lăsat o flacără mică pe pagina ta. Cum de am putut uita că dragonii scot flăcări pe nas? Acum trebuie să stingem focul, și repede, să nu pierdem cartea.

What I love about this book is that its illustrations are gorgeous and the story is one that quickly delights young readers with its adorable main character.

This is one of those imaginary interactive books (blow, shake the pages, etc.), which tend to annoy me. However, the baby dragon was really cute, and that helped.
