It's a good book from a technical standpoint. The author is very thorough, but I got lost in some of the technical speak. He does cover a wide variety of topics concerning salt water fly fishing and it has definitely added to my mental knowledge of working estuaries.
I will say that much of this book seems geared toward the New England and mid-Atlantic states, but the author is from these regions and so his expertise is very extensive in this area. He writes what he knows, so he can't be faulted in this sense.
I would say that this book is a definite must read for anyone looking to get into salt water fly fishing.
