Getting whipped is easy, everything else is complicated.

In this continuation of the Serving Veronica series, Greg tries to find his feet in his new job in Veronica's kinky household, but his fears and preconceptions make it difficult for him.

When he asks Mario to help him out, Mario readily agrees to guide him. But as the two men grow closer, things start going terribly wrong. Veronica soon loses her patience with them, and Greg has to learn that even for a masochist, punishments aren't meant to be fun.

Also in this a horny genderfluid Swede, blueberry muffins, sharks that get their noses punched, a stainless steel dilator set, a pork roast gone wrong and a very fluffy elephant.

Another kinky MM romance in a reverse harem setting.

This story made me want to have my own harem. If not, then a house like Veronica’s where everyone could be free to be who they wanted without judgment. Like I would freaking love to clean the house naked. Thank you, Jens/Jen for being so awesome with your gender fluidness. There! I said it. Chandra Storm was a genius to develop such a warm environment that even I couldn’t help but adore.

Okay, back to the review. Right. A full rundown of the story. Induction, book two of the Serving Veronica series, held in a Reverse Harem setting with BDSM was about two of Veronica’s submissives slash employees. Greg---awesome Grey---was the personal trainer while Mario was the chef. Everyone in this house had a role to play. It wasn’t all about sex, but people went through real struggle in their lives and dealing with past traumas. It didn’t seem fictional. Chandra made it seem as if someone was showing me their real-life story. Grey who had past trauma with being hospitalized freaked when Veronica tried a new kink on him. Distraught that every one of the other guys in the house was able to do it but him pushed him to ask Mario, his protector and friend, to help him overcome his fear. Once they started, one accident after the other happened. They were like kids and Veronica was the adult. It was kind of funny. In a weird way.

Mario was adorable. I wished I had seen him get over his fear as Grey and Rachael had. The book was about him and Grey. I wanted to see some sort of development when it came to him. I felt like if he did, I would have loved the story. But sad to say, it wasn’t there. Hopefully, it will be in book three. I have read MM romance mangas with switched positions like this one but never in an actual book. Noticing it here with Mario was amazing. Guy could be anything he wanted. Seme or uke. Hats off to him.

Anyway, despite the strong themes, the book wasn’t hard to digest. I thought Chandra used the measurement of point five in line spacing, so reading it was smooth. I didn’t have to strain to see or comprehend what I was reading. I didn’t read book one and going through this one was a breeze. I wasn’t confused at any given time. This is great for people like me who sometimes never read series in order. The only hiccup I had---it wasn’t a big deal---was not knowing where Sarah fit into the picture. Otherwise, the story was a blast.

It was one of those stories that was such a comfortable read that it would make you want to curl up on your sofa with a hot cup of chocolate. I cannot gush anymore about this story. Go ahead, grab a copy and get reading. Does this book have smut? Yes. There was BDSM there as well. Was there romance? I could tell Mario and Grey actually had feelings for each other without them having to say it. Believe me, it was refreshing from all the fake-romance books out there. Yes, this was a fabulous arc read---meaning I got a free copy of this book. And yeah, this is my honest review, just in case you were wondering. Because why would I waste my time writing an essay of a review that is dishonest? Ha! I wouldn’t.

In a continuation of book 1, Greg is settling into life at Veronica’s estate. He and Mario are becoming closer, spending more time together as their affection and care for each other grows. Greg is learning more about the other occupants, he is participating in more scenes where his need for pain is being met, and his understanding of Veronica and the dynamic within the house is increasing. When a couple of situations occur where Greg and Mario are responsible, Greg learns the difference between a kinky scene and punishment, as Veronica helps him continue to learn more about this lifestyle.

There is a cliff-hanger from the standpoint of more to come, but it does have a conclusion for this section.

Characters continue to be interesting as we learn more about each one in each book, giving back stories to help understand life choices which may have led each character into the lifestyle they are living now. The plot keeps me interested in the relationships of the various characters to each other, to the household dynamic, and to the varieties of kinks each character has. Looking forward to book 3, hope it is due out soon.

And so it continues...

We met Greg in Assessment, and this continues his story. He is truly settled into his new normal now, and Induction is all about how he pushes his boundaries. It starts right in the middle of a scene, since... y'know, this IS a BDSM book. Even though the story is told through Greg's POV, we get more of the backstories of the other characters. I'd say this is a true LGBT story, with a pleasant mix of several other pairings. Mistress Veronica remains a force to be reckoned with.

Greg and Mario - Chef's kiss! That's all I'm going to say on this (without giving away any spoilers). There are still some unanswered questions (like the thing he is running from in his past); but since this is a series I am hoping the author addresses this at some point.

As I said before, Veronica's home really does sound like the type I'd want to hang out in all the time... for research purposes, of course!

Induction (Serving Veronica Book 2) by Chandra Storm

This book is SO addicting! It has interesting twists, some you see coming, some you don’t. When the first book in the series introduced Veronica's unusual and extravagant household and its inhabitants, this book continues to reveal more of their personalities and relationships. Greg is new to the scene, still trying to find his preferences, and not completely understanding the unspoken rules. He asks Mario to help him overcome his fears and inhibitions. Greg helps Rachel in the same way but in a totally different context. There are a lot of steamy scenes, but each one of them serves an important role in developing the story.

This is the best page-turner. I usually can put a book down and pick it back up whenever I get around to it- not with this book and this author. I kept making the time to read it.

I am beyond excited to dive into more from this author! Definitely recommend. PS. The book cover is absolutely awesome :)

Induction picks up where Assessment ends. I strongly recommend you read the first book. You find out mote about the characters in this book. I love how Greg and Mario's relationship grows. I am still on the fence about Veronica. Sometimes you like her and sometimes you just hate her. You know it's a good book when you have this many emotions. This is a continued series.

I look forward to the next book.

I am truly in awe of the 'family' created by Chandra Storm in this series. I was given an ARC of Induction and am excited to share that how amazing it is. I am hoping that a third book soon follows. The angst in this book was so engaging as it was multi layered in a way that just begged me to keep turning the pages. I found the growing depth of relationships and mystery of others still left to explore intriguing in a manner that was different from my usual reading experience. I will suggest that if you have not read Assessment that you read that before tackling Induction as it will have a great meaning and fill in some otherwise large plot concepts. I also appreciate the continued negotiation and consent which opens up erotic steam that is over the top. It is so well depicted that I could see in in my head as I read.

I didn't realize how fast I'd fly through this! 😅. I loved it! I just didn't like Veronica. At all. But aside from her character, the spice was phenomenal and, again, so were the other characters. I love Greg and Mario's relationship. They are adorable together and I really would love to see a book about just them in the future.

One thing I wished happened, was Greg keeping his passion for wanting all of them to move out and live together. Veronica did indeed go too far, and as I read, I could easily visualize all of them living comfortably with each other. I'm curious to see how you go with book 3, although the last sentence of Greg's thought gives me an idea 🤔

Thank you for the opportunity to read this!

Just like the first book, the story continues to wend its way into the many facets of a kinky lifestyle. Not only are the scenes raw and real, but also the relationships that go with them as well as the emotional and interpersonal aspects. All the while, the story has "meat" offering a potline and side plots to make you fall in love with the cast of characters and their dynamics. Add how the author touches on some societal issues and it's no wonder I'm eagerly awaiting the next part.

Another great installment in this series! I absolutely adore Greg and Mario's relationship. It's a great contrast to some of the other relationships in the house that feel less lovey-dovey and more sex driven.

Rachel's character development is wonderful to see after not really learning that much about her in the first book. Jens is even more intriguing now that Greg is more open to getting to know them better.

I also really liked the conflict. Sometimes with spicy stories, there isn't much thought put into the story arc and it can feel like it's just following a trope. Since this isn't the first book or the last one, the characters are still growing and some of their flaws are starting to show. Veronica is the best example of this in this book and I'm sure it will continue throughout the series.

This book had more spice as well. It was very well integrated into the story and I think the progression of the story makes a lot of sense. The first book didn't have a lot of spicy moments but this one did because Greg is getting more comfortable with the situation he's in and the people he's with.

Overall, this is another great read and I can't wait for the next one!

I received this kinky why choose novel as an ARC. Induction is book 2 in a series an would be more enjoyable with having read Assessment, but it can still be read as a stand-alone. I love the open communication and explicit consent; there is even acknowledgement of prior trauma. And I still very much appreciate the unique dynamics between the members of the harem. It's rare for a why choose to include gay characters who are in a non-romantic relationship with the FMC. Overall Induction has a little more plot than book 1 and makes me want to continue the series.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I read the first book and loved it and I feel the same about this sequel. We got to know the characters more and their relationships with each other and the group. You also see the struggles of someone who is just entering the bdsm and trying to learn their way around. I absolutely love Greg and Mario and Jens/Jen. This is a great read and definitely recommend it.

Loved Book 1 and loved Book 2. In this book, we get to see Mario and Tristan's relationship blossom as Tristan navigates daily life at the mansion. For those of you who were impressed with "Assessment" Chandra outdoes herself with "Induction". 5 stars. I can't wait to read what's next.

A nice 2nd book in the series! A bit more depth to some characters, I hope there co.es a 3rd book for even more. The scenes are well-written. Some parts had me almost throwing my ereader through the room, and steam out of my ears. But in the end I could close it with a smile!

Induction definitely added to the storyline that we were left with at the end of Assessment (Book 1). Book 2 starts off right away in the middle of a scene between Mistress Veronica and Greg while Mario, Greg's protector during scenes, watching on. This book is basically about Greg's Induction to bum play after he has an emotional revolution when Veronica tries to introduce a new toy for Greg.

This book contains MM and FM scenes, some in a BDSM setting. Greg works with Mario to get comfortable with his phobia of certain areas of play. During their exploration, we are given brief views into the other side character's and the way their relationships have formed between individuals as well as how they are intricate to the workings of the household.

Greg's job description is Personal Trainer and as such he works with Rachael to teach her how to swim and eventually to overcome her fear of water. There's something brewing between Rachael and Sarah and Kay, Veronica's assistant, seems to be building up to something to look forward to in the upcoming books.

This book definitely enables the reader to relate to Greg when he's dealing with certain aspects of the BDSM lifestyle and the internal struggles he faces as he's adjusting to the lifestyle. He encounters areas that trigger a "Guilt" response and the author does a good job of taking you on the journey of all the feels that Greg goes through while dealing with events that seem to happen when Greg and Mario take personal time!

I can't wait to see the development of the characters as this series continues as Greg and Mario's budding "relationship" takes on the interaction between Mistress and other couples that are within this "odd" family of Doms and Subs.
