A boy searching for an end to the fighting.

A girl trapped in a nightmare of her father’s making.

White walls. Locked doors. A kid’s voice in her head.

Sophie’s father believes she has lost her mind, that her trip to the fae world might have healed her body, but it also turned her into one of them. He’s sent her to a place for humans suffering from brutal encounters with the fae.

But Sophie knows he’s hiding a dark secret. One that will change her world forever.

With the help of a young boy with an odd power, Sophie is determined to survive long enough to reveal to the world what the doctors are doing to the fae deep within the bowels of the Clarkson Institute.

Gulliver is determined to find Sophie. Has to tell her he’s sorry he couldn’t keep her safe. It’s risky, more dangerous than anything he’s ever attempted, but he can’t leave her in that awful place. With two Iskaltian queens at his side, he believes. In the power they possess and the good they can do for everyone.

He’s just Gullie, but Brea and Tia have the power to bring real change.

It might take a miracle to save Sophie and both their worlds, but Gulliver and his friends have a plan. A plan to bring peace to human and Fae alike.

He just never dreamed peace would cost so much.

Michelle MacQueen is a USA Today bestselling author of love. Yes, love. Whether it be YA romance, NA romance, or fantasy romance (Under M. Lynn), she loves to make readers swoon.
The great loves of her life to this point are two tiny blond creatures who call her "aunt" and proclaim her books to be "boring books" for their lack of pictures. Yet, somehow, she still manages to love them more than chocolate.
When she's not sharing her inexhaustible wisdom with her niece and nephew, Michelle is usually lounging in her ridiculously large bean bag chair creating worlds and characters that remind her to smile every day - even when a feisty five-year-old is telling her just how much she doesn't know.

A war between humans and fae. How will the royals of the five kingdoms protect the half fae who live in the human world? A solution arises, but at a high price.

This is the conclusion of the series and it feels a bit strange, considering the amount of time we've spent with these characters. Before I started reading this book I wasn't sure I was ready to say goodbye, but now that I've read the ending I feel quite satisfied and ready to let go.

I will recommend the Queens of the fae series to everyone who enjoys "lighter" fantasy, with characters you get close to and want to follow over a longer period of time. If I were to choose a general theme for the series I would focus on the equal status of everybody. In the fae world there's really no prestige; a princess can have an orphaned boy as her best friend, for instance. And nobody bats an eye when two people of the same sex fall in love. A utopia to aim for!

Bittersweet ending to a fantastic series. I did really want more romantic interaction between Sophie and Gulliver. The story was mainly focused on the fae & human war. Story was steady paced. This is a great series to pick pick up and get hooked from the get go.

I wish I could give every book in this wonderfully written series a 4.5. It takes a lot to keep my interest when reading a series. I really enjoyed reading this series.

Parting is such sweet sorrow…
I just finished books 1-9 last night and started this today. For a somewhat light fantasy series, the authors have really tackled some heavy topics that are great talking points for teens and perhaps older kids.

A new one for me (I have yet to read #’s 10 & 11) is a question brought up at the beginning:
Are fae and their magic one and the same? Is a fae’s losing its magic the same as a human marathon runner losing his or her legs (no possibility of prosthetics)? Or more like a human brainiac in a permanent coma? How much of one skill or trait defines us – to the point that we are no longer the same person if we were to lose it? What are your opinions?

I usually don’t disagree “in public” with something an author writes. But since the gist of the below quote is said very often IRL, I want to address why I think it’s problematic. Especially, since impressionable teens and younger adults would be reading this book:
‘It’s all in the past, where it belongs.’
Yes, toxic behavior does belong in the past (as in it needs to be stopped in the present so that there is no more in the future). It’s not healthy or supportive for people who have been targets of toxic behavior that they need to “move on”, forgot about it”, “let it go”, etc. They need their time to process, they need their voices to be heard, they need their cause to be championed.

Fave quote:
‘Grown adult humans don’t run around like hyper squirrels on vacation in a city like Columbus. Especially this close to a mental hospital.’
[Personal note: not all mental institutions are like the one in here. My brother was in a pediatric ward for about a year and I still have positive memories of the staff and some of the other kids there. We even had one of the young girls over for a weekend so her mom could get some rest!]

May we make responsible decisions in our lifetime so that our descendants receive a healthy world.

Fae’s End is a thrilling conclusion to the Queen of Fae’s series. To recap, Tia had sent Gulliver and Toby into the human world to find a way to save Fae that have been mistreated.

Gulliver meets a waitress named Sophie, who’s the daughter of the leader of the Human Alliance for Survival, HAFS, group. Sophie had survived leukemia before but unfortunately it had came back full force. Gulliver hating to see Sophie suffer had brought Sophie to the healing waters of the Fae realm. Bringing a human to the Fae world wasn’t as uncommon since Alona and Myles are technically human. But Sophie that’s grown up to hate Fae from being part of HAFS was not as accepted at the beginning. When Sophie realized Fae aren’t as evil as she thought, she returned to the human world. Seeing his daughter cured, her father sent her to the Clarkson Institute believing that she had became a Fae.

Toby had lost the love of his life, Logan, to the fireplanes and was grieving the loss. Once he goes about meeting Xavier, a half Fae that is part of a resistance group, he can’t help but join in the resistance. He finally feels like he can be himself, someone with no magic other than the O’Shea magic to open portals.

Through this story has been a lot of new discoveries, happiness, pain, learning to love, grief, allowing to let people go, and an endless adventure. I couldn’t have imagined a better ending to this story and can’t wait to find out what the next otherworldly adventure the authors will come up with next!.

The last book in the Queens of the Fae series provides a beautiful, a bit heartbreaking, and full-of-adrenaline finale to the amazing story. With Sophie being locked in the Clarkson institute where more horrors are lurking in the dark than one would expect, Gullie determined to find and save her, Toby, Griff, and Brandon trying to help Aghadoon to escape the bombing and save the half-fae from war, and basically the whole fae royalty trying to smoothen the relationships with human to stop the atrocities and live in peace, the book offers a lot both plot- and character-wise. Loose ends get mostly tied, decisions are made, some of them easy, some of them hard. Many get finally their HEA, and new hope is on the horizon. I will surely miss this enchanting world full of wonders, love, compassion, and adventurous escapades that made me grin more than on one occasion (ehm, Tia + Brea in one (human) room..). Laughter, hope, and satisfaction dominate my feelings after the last page and resonate with me still.

How to write this review. Hopefully, if you are looking at this book, you have read the ones that have come before. Which means you know Gullie and Tia and Toby.
I struggled with this last set of books because some of it felt too far out there and I think that's because it was brought to the human realm. Yet, I enjoyed watching Gullie discover his strengths and Toby find who he is outside his sister's shadow. I am only giving this a 4 star review partly because I really struggled with the ending and thinking of it as a HEA. I was crying so hard and so sad that the happy part was overshadowed by the sadness. (trying not to give anything away.) So I love these characters and all they are and have become watching them grow has been one of the main reasons I have loved this series yet I am sad it ended the way it did.

I cannot believe that I am finally finished with this series!
I am soooooo happy that Gully and Sophie were able to come together by the end and had a happy little family together! It was beautiful!
I was crying my eyes out when Toby made the announcement that he will be staying in the human realm with Xaiver! But I knew it was coming! And then when Toby sent a message about having a surrogate mother, so so sweet, such a great ending.

This series was so bittersweet, I fell in love with so many characters, and watching the generations unfold and come into their own was amazing to see!

Overall an amazing read! I will always have hope that M. Lynn will maybe continue or reinvent the series later on! or I might have to just read the series all over again because it was truly that good!

Wow. The 12th & final installment of the Queens of the Fae series. Gulliver & Toby desperately want to help the half-Fae create a peaceful home in the human world, but are they really prepared to do whatever it takes to help them? Meanwhile, Sophie is trapped in the HAFS institute, experiencing horrible treatments & finding a young boy who means more to her than just being a strange voice in her head.

This third installment of Gulliver’s story is definitely my favorite, despite the ending being not at all what I was expecting. Let’s see without giving anything away… Even though Toby broke my heart, I love how his story ended. I love how both Gullie and Sophie’s stories played out, especially with Noah’s involvement. And that’s it. I don’t think I can say more without giving anything away. I’m sad to leave this universe, but at the same time I can’t wait to see what Michelle hits us with next.

Oh my grab the tissue box right now....The start of this book and the end have me bailing my eyes out. There was so much sadness and some happiness too. This book absolutely wrecked my heart and then pieced it back together. I loved having all of the characters together from all the other booking with all of their quirkiness, those were the parts that mended my broken heart. I am truly sad to see this series come to an end but I know that more would only mean the characters would not have their HEA. What an amazing adventure it has been between the fae and the human realm. This will always be a cherished series close to my heart.

Not ready to say goodbye...

I loved this conclusion to what has been a truly EPIC series. Filled with action, surprises, magic, adventure, family and more...get ready to see all the familiar faces and feel *all* the feels in this final farewell. I'm sad to see these characters go-- here's hoping there's a possible spinoff in the future 😉? I couldn't put this down until I saw how it all turned out. These characters feel like old friends after all these books, and I was cheering them on! Definitely worth checking this one out.

This is book eight and final book of the Queen of Fae’s collection. Great series. Great book! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. The world building is detailed and imaginative. This book has strong, well-developed characters and an interesting story line that keeps you turning the pages. This is a fast-paced intriguing read! A satisfying conclusion to a great series. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story.

I listened to the audiobook on audible and chapter 24 is missing, it’s a repeat audio of chapter 1.

The voice actor did a great job the entire series, this is a great extended series that crosses generations. Perfect for romantacy readers who need a break from spice!

It was a great book, but it has some kind of glitch. Close to the end- it repeated another part of the book. It also must have taken place of a chunk as things happened in the next chapter you had to piece together yourself.

Some good twists in this finale, but the book had a weird time jump and seemed to be rushed today the end.

So I am not sure that I am 100% satisfied with the ending of this book..

Gully is able to be a hero and rescue Sofie and her younger half brother. There are still some things left unexplained, like how she could never remember that she had seen her mother with a baby on the day she was pulled out of school as a child.. She wasn't given any medication, didn't visit her father's creepy doctor friend.. so how?

The ending with Tearny and Toby was unexpected. I figured they would always be together.. I am happy that they were still able to communicate and that the story was shared a couple times down the road. It was able to show that they did have Happily ever after's in both realms.

Wow. What a fantastic finale to this magical Fae series. Even while on holiday I could to rest without meeting my review deadline to praise this dynamic duo of authors ( and I don’t mean Batman snd Robin).
Such an outstanding writing partnership with stories to keep us enthralled and entertained and glued to every page. I leave the characters as friends, not just fictional characters. I will surely miss them all. I feel all the richer for having immersed myself in this book, indeed this series.
200% recommended.
