A compelling, courageously written description of one man’s journey through bone marrow transplantation, one of the most arduous and extraordinary medical interventions that some people are compelled to choose and endure.
This is one man's journey through a bone marrow transplant; the extensive hospital stay filled with good and bad days and then what happened in his life after he was discharged home. I found it extremely interesting to hear a patient perspective about a hospital stay and what happens after they go back to the "real world." Although this was one man's account, I felt like a lot of what happened to him is pretty typical of patients I see everyday. It is a quick read, written like a diary, but probably wouldn't mean a whole lot to someone that doesn't work in healthcare or hasn't encountered someone going through a transplant.
