Found this little gem in a used book store in Scotland. More than just a memento of my trip, it is actually a very good book that I’m very glad I own. I’d say about half of the ‘proverbs’ I already knew and half I didn’t, but some of the ones that I didn’t know actually seem rather game changing (for example, ‘if you have six groups, one is dead’). But overall, just about every proverb is quite key to remember - thus, owning the book and flipping through it once in a while, I reckon, will keep my game sharp!
I’d recommend this book to any intermediate Go player (the basics aren’t covered at all). It’s quick to read and easy to understand!
Although this is a rather small collection of Go proverbs, it covers a wide range of interesting subjects - all, well illustrated with examples. Well worth reading, if you are unfamiliar with Go proverbs, and are looking to improve your play.
